Today you are one month old. And what a month it has been. There were lots of visitors - aunts, uncles, cousins, and all of your grandparents. Every day you wake up a little more and become more and more alert. Every day we are adjusting to having two little awesome people in the house. And every day we become more and more accustomed to a little less sleep. You do sleep a lot, but just not at any one time. You've been on lots of outings in the stroller and baby carrier. You are gaining weight and getting bigger each day.
It's hard for me to tell, but everyone thinks you look like your dad. Some days I think your eyes are turning blue and some days I think they are turning dark brown. I think it's still too early to tell.
We are starting to fall into a rhythm for our days. We get up and you sleep in the kitchen while I make Scout breakfast. Some days she spends the afternoon at day care with her friends and you and I just nap on the couch or go for a walk at the mall. But you are an utterly content baby who likes to be swaddled and held tight. And right now, that's perfect.
We can't wait to watch you grow.
