About a year ago, I was picking up Scout from day care and right in front of the main door there was a little boy having a full throttle, laying on the floor kicking, meltdown.  His dad just stood there trying to get him out of the door.  The day care director was sitting at the front desk and said, "The desire to be independent without the ability.  It's the definition of a two-year old."  And she's right.  Scout has a mind of her own, and if she doesn't want to do something, then it's not going to happen.  We often hear, "NO, do it myself."

She does have a lot of cute tricks, but whenever we pull a camera out, this happens...

You thought you were going to see something tricky, didn't you?
