What's going on...

A brief list of what's going on around here:
  • I started a post about this yesterday, but didn't get it completed.  Yesterday was Pride & Prejudice's 200th anniversary.  One of my most favoritest books ever.
Scout has a t-shirt with this cover illustration on it.
  • Last night I had every intention of getting on the treadmill and starting the BBC mini-series again as motivation.  However, I instead got pulled into watching Evita and then Intervention while surfing the interwebs.
  • The weather has been bizarre.  On Sunday we had an ice storm that left everything encased in ice.  It then warmed up and last night we had huge booming thunderstorms with downpours and lightning.  Now tonight we're supposed to get a winter storm with ice, snow, and wind.
  • These weird weather patterns are so confusing.  To you Global Warming Deniers:

  • I started a new toy making project, which has me distracted from the knitting and sewing I want to do.  And also, I'm covered in paint.
  • I'm knitting a super-secret project.
  • While Scout doesn't watch a ton of tv, she does watch videos on the iPad.  For the most part, it's all Elmo, all the time.  But then she discovered Yo Gabba Gabba, and THIS has been stuck in my head ever since:

  • I think Rykert and I should go as DJ Lance and Leslie Hall for Halloween next year.  I have no shame on Halloween and could find myself a gem sweater and some gold running tights.  And glasses.  I'm not sure that anyone would "get" it.

We're in spring weather - 70's and should reach into the 80's by the end of the week. I wouldn't mind some cooler weather though. My sinuses are going crazy.

My toddler was DJ Lance Rock for Halloween last year. You should totally dress up as Leslie! Toddlers and parents of toddlers will get it. And everyone else will be impressed with your glitter hands dancy dance!
