Dolly High Chair

A couple of months ago I was thinking about Christmas.  Scout loves her baby dolls.  Actually, she loves to put her baby dolls to sleep.  I was feeling sorry for these babies who always had to be asleep, and I decided that Scout needed a doll highchair for Christmas to reinforce the fact that babies could, in fact, be awake.

As I was searching Amazon, my dad resurrected this gem from their basement.

I sort of remember it from my childhood.  But truth be told, my sisters and I were more into Barbies then babies.  I knew it would be perfect.

I started by cleaning it up and giving it a couple of coats of paint.

The color isn't 100% what I wanted, but I was in a hurry picking it out as it was literally in the middle of a blizzard.

To finish it off, I made a little chair pad that ties to the back of the chair and simple d-ring buckle straps that snap on and off.

The buckles snap on and off because I thought they would either be really fun or endlessly frustrating for Scout to manipulate.  So far, neither.

She likes to put the babies in and out and occasionally they get to sit in there long enough to eat, but mostly the babies still just sleep.
