I saw this idea on the web a long time ago, and I filed it away. The traditional 8 year wedding anniversary gift is bronze. But since we've been together nearly 12 years and now married for 8, we settled on a meal wrapped in paper at the mall food court yesterday. And maybe, if I play my cards right, I'll finally get around to purchasing a new vacuum. And I'll resist any impulse to post a heartfelt greeting on Facebook, because honestly, no one wants to see that crap. So that's that. We will likely spend our evening (before R heads to work) crawling around on all 4s with Scout pretending we are puppies or teetering on tiny Little Tykes chairs coloring or washing our hands (over and over) in the play sink.
