Don't you hate it when a blog post starts with, "You guys, I've been, like, SOOOOO busy." I do. And yet, I almost just did it. We're all busy, in some way or another. Life's hectic, and usually there are more things to do than hours in the day. So we prioritize. And some nights after Scout's in bed, sitting on the couch watching Law & Order reruns while playing mindless games on my phone make it to the top of the list.
Anyway, I'm not going to fall prey to my own pet peeve and tell you that I've been too busy to blog. No, other things have just been more important.
Like sidewalk chalkin'.
Lots of sidewalk chalkin' until we're both covered in colorful dust.
Learning to hopscotch. Or in Scout's case, walkscotch.
And knitting. I've been doing lots and lots of knitting, believe it or not. I decided to write a pattern and it's been a bigger undertaking than I thought it would be. But once I started the ideas really started to come and now I have a long list of potential projects.
And on that... I'm going to be looking for test knitters and possibly sample knitters in the next few weeks. Maybe. If you are interested, please email me and let me know and we can see if it would work.
ETA: I just discovered that a few weeks ago, Babble featured my swimmable mermaid tail tutorial on their site: DIY Pool Games for Pool Parties.
