Summer Reading, Part II.

I work for a large publishing company. And the division that I work for has a sister company that is a major publisher of consumer books. As an excellent fringe benefit, employees are given a discount on all of the imprints. Because I've been doing most of my reading on my Kindle, I haven't placed an order for some time. But a couple of weeks ago, I decided to place an order for some summer reading. And they arrived.

A few weeks ago, I stayed up entirely too late watching the Emma Thompson version of Sense & Sensibility on tv. I had forgotten how much I loved that movie. Which reminded me that it had been decades since I had read any Jane Austen. So, I went to the company store, so to speak, looking for an inexpensive paperback copy that I could read at the pool. But then I saw the (relatively) newly issued hardcover versions and fell in love.

The covers are designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith, and have a coordinating ribbon bookmark in each. Because I was already paying for shipping, I also bought Pride & Prejudice.

I'd like to collect the entire set.

I also threw in Spoon Fed by Kim Severson and Unravelled by Robyn Harding. Anyone read either of these more contemporary books?
