I guess I should start by saying that January really flew by. But honestly, that's fine with me. The winter's starting to wear on me, so I'm happy that we've turned to a new month. That much closer to spring.

I don't have much to say today, but thought I'd pop in and let you know that I'm still here. Still knitting away on that pattern I previewed last week. I'd hope to finish all the knitting this weekend, but then I got distracted.

We are putting new floors in our kitchen/ dining area (a long neglected project) and in preparation, Rykert moved out most of the furniture and the trim. With the room already in upheaval I decided to paint. When we moved in 3 years ago, my sister helped me paint just about every room (or at least the main rooms). Of course, I sort of *missed* on the kitchen color and the green just wasn't what I wanted. It was way too close to Clinique green, and I hated it. But I lived with it. So I repainted on Saturday to a much lighter green called Sweet Caroline - which I may or may not have chosen on name alone. It lightened the whole space up dramatically. Of course by Saturday night I was in serious pain - my arms, my back, my knees. So I didn't get any knitting done, and then Sunday I had to clean up the mess and put things back together. I had forgotten that painting kitchens is a lot of work.

But I digress... Once I'm finished knitting and writing the pattern for this baby sweater, I'm going to need your advice. Do I put a $$ on it or do I give it away? Anyone with experience selling patterns on Ravelry or Etsy please chime in...
