Breakfast.

More felt food. Are you sick of me talking about it yet?

The All-American Breakfast.

I drew all of these patterns myself as the shapes are simple. I stuffed the egg yolks with a bit of poly stuffing. The pancakes are made of 3 layers of felt: 2 of the lighter color and then one smaller circle of the darker color. In between the layers I cut a craft foam sheet in a circle a bit smaller. It gives the pancakes a bit of rigidity. If I had batting, I would have probably used that instead. The bacon also has a pipe cleaner sewn inside to make it bendable.

Of course, this is more like my kind of breakfast...

Strawberry Pop Tarts.

Pop Tarts 02

I considered sewing bugle beads to the frosting to make sprinkles. But ultimately decided not to. I don't know what I'm going to do with all of this food yet, but it may be gifted to small children, and so I thought the beads were a bad idea. I just drew a rectangle about the size of a Pop Tart and created the pattern. Like the pancakes, I put a piece of craft foam inside to give it some rigidity.

As you can see, I'm seriously addicted to this. I suggest you get some felt and embroidery floss and blanket stitch away. I have a million ideas, but am not sure when I might run out of steam for this project.

Tomorrow my Piece de Resistance (at least to date.)
