One more...

After wrapping up all of those scrappy hats, I turned my attention to a long skein of Dream in Color Classy leftover from the February Lady Sweater I made myself last year. I cast on the night before I left for New Orleans, and had a nearly finished hat by the time I got home.

Amanda Hat 01

Pattern: The Amanda Hat (Ravelry Link)
Yarn: Dream in Color Classy (Happy Forest colorway, I think?)
Needles: US 9

Amanda Hat 02

For some reason, I had a hard time grasping this pattern and kept having to unknit when my stitch count was off. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I assure you that it was clearly knitter error rather than an issue with the pattern. I had forgotten how much I loved this yarn.

So nice I'll knit it twice

It's so nice, I decided to knit it again. After a day at a Continuing Legal Ed class on Friday, I'm nearly finished with the second hat.

The stitch pattern makes a fairly stretchy fabric, so for the second hat, I switched to US 8 needles.

That pattern really shows off the color variation in Dream in Color Classy beautifully. Very nice!

Its gorgeous - I think that hat is a great match for hand dyed yarn. Your photos really capture the green beautifully.
