Iraqi Bundles of Love

I really like to make things. It's sort of fundamental part of who I am. Making things takes all forms around here mostly knitting, some sewing, some painting, cooking, baking, etc. It's what I do. And I would guess that it is absolutely not a surprise to see me write this.

I think that's why I was completely drawn in to Iraqi Bundles of Love. And it fits right in with my current purge and organization. I have a lot of stuff. Useful stuff. But largely, it's stuff that I know I'll never use. And I'm also my grand-mother's grand-daughter, and I don't want to throw useful stuff away. And I'm fortunate to have an over-abundance in my life, and the ability, if I so choose, to accumulate even more stuff. So I'm going to put together a bundle to send to Iraq. Why? So other people can make things. You should too.

As I put it together, I'll show you what I send. And even if you don't plan to put together a bundle, please spread the word. Bundles have to be mailed by 9/7. With the holiday, that means, it has to be in the mail on Saturday.
