Another year.

Libby 19810001

It's my birthday. I'm not one for big celebrations on my birthday. So my only plan is to not work, relax, and eat pizza and cake with my family. Tomorrow we're heading into Chicago for a couple of days, because I desperately need to get away for a few days. We don't really have plans, which is nice. But if you have restaurant suggestions please pass them on. Our only caveat for restaurants is that we hate uppity places that take themselves too seriously.

Though I'll be away from the computer, I have a couple of posts queued up over the weekend.

Happy Birthday!

There is an excellent breakfast place called Yolk that I definitely recommend.

They have two locations, in the South Loop and River North, depending on where you are staying.

The Signature Room at the top of the Hancock is nice to stop by for a bite to eat or a drink with a great view, although it is a little pricy.(http://www.signatureroom.com)

If you are in the mood for some yarn, stop by Loopy Yarns(http://www.loopyyarns.com/) near Dearborn Station. They have an huge selection.

I better stop before I completely monopolize your comment section. =)

I would recommend Ginos for pizza, a diner called Ed Debevics. Its a lot of fun, address is 640 N Wells St and The Billy Goat is downstairs on Michigan Avenue, across from the Tribune building. Its the cheezeborger place. Or Garrett and I enjoyed the Dunkin Donuts next to our hotel in the mornings :)

Try Geja's Cafe for a fun (romantic) fondue experience. Also, Wishbone is a great breakfast/brunch place. Lou Malnatti's is pretty good for deep dish pizza too. And, you can't go wrong with a giant bowl of pasta and some sausage and peppers from Rosebud on Taylor. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday -

No suggestions for eating but if you're looking for a fun place go to Howl at the Moon. It's crazy and loud but if you're in the mood it's a great time.

Have fun.
