To celebrate 5 years of blogging and to thank those of you who read, I'm having a little contest.

Leave me a comment, any comment (say hi, ask me a burning question, say something random, anything), and you are automatically entered to win one of these prizes.

Prize #1
Everything you need to make a chicken just like mine (except the needles) and stuffing.

Blog Giveaway 1 - CE

Here's what's included:
3 balls of Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Charcoal, Snow, and Cherry.
Small bit of Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Orangeade (enough for the beak; this color has been discontinued, and I don't have a full ball left, sorry)
Knit Chickens Pattern
Poly Pellets (to give your chicken some heft; please note that if you have an international address, I won't include the pellets due to shipping costs)
2 of my favorite notions

Prize #2
Everything you need to make a charted chicken or a striped chicken or both.

Blog Giveaway 2 - BSA

Here's what's included:
5 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Dyed Cotton
Knit Chickens Pattern

What's not included in either of these: knitting needles, the time and energy to complete the knitting, stuffing. And if you want to make the charted version, you will need to go here and print your own chart.

I know there are a few non-knitters who read as well, so I don't want to leave you out. If a non-knitter is chosen, I will send you the Knit Chicken I made a couple of weeks ago (note it is not suitable for small children due to the poly pellets used for stuffing). Indicate that you are a non-knitter in your comment.

The winners will be chosen at random. I'm anticipating a busy weekend and may be away from the computer, so the contest will run through Tuesday 8:00 a.m. central. Also, in your comment please leave me some way to get a hold of you (email or blog) because Blogger comments leave plenty to be desired in that respect.

Tell your friends.

Wow...I love your chicken and it great to see you make such a milestone with your blog! I had mine going for a few (BamsZoo) on the knit side, but let it go. I love seeing other knitters keep them up! BTW, did you make it to the IA Sheep and Wool? My sis and I did and I managed to find some nice fleece to bring home!
