There was only one guess on my last post as to what it was I was knitting. And Amy was correct.

When I saw Susan B. Anderson's Knit Chicken pattern for Blue Sky Alpaca, I thought it was cute. But truthfully, I probably wouldn't have knit it. But then on Ravelry, I saw Michelle's charted chicken (Ravelry link). And I was instantly smitten. Gotta love the interwebs because then she graciously provided her chart for others to use.

As soon as I decided to knit it, I rushed around town to find the original pattern, and lucked out to find it at Home Ec Workshop, a really really cute shop in Iowa City. For the yarn, I used Cotton Ease that I had on hand.

It was fun to knit, and I'm still smitten with the finished product. In fact, I may just knit it again. Next time in wool.
