Cake Walk

My nieces' school had its annual Fun Night last week. I offered to make a cake for the Cake Walk. They manage to gather a substantial number of cakes and there are multiple rooms of cake walks going on.

I didn't have a ton of time this week to plan anything too elaborate. But, I would hate to find out that my cake was the last one picked. You know? In my mind, I'd like to believe that my cake is the first one picked. I'm competitive like that. Always have been. So, if all else fails, just use lots and lots of chocolate.

A cake mix, 2 jars of chocolate frosting, a large bag of M&Ms and so many KitKats that I stopped counting later, I had this to offer.

I wanted to eat it. I would not have used the ribbon if I was going to serve it right away, but tied it on to help keep the Kit Kats in place since I made the cake a good 24 hours before it was consumed

By the time my niece's made it into the cake room to pick their winning cake, my cake was gone. I hope someone enjoyed it.

Cool. Is there cake in there too? I love it and want one. No wonder it was gone before you got there. Love you, Mom

Gasp. I want one too! Not only would it taste unbelievable but the sugar coma might help me catch up on some rest.

That is just about the most delicious thing I have ever seen. I am not a baker but that makes me want to bake - a lot of chocolate.
