Sigh.

Well, first off, thank you for all of your comments on last week's cupcakes. I had planned to end it with a bang, but got sidetracked this weekend. I still have ideas for more cupcakes, so my kitchen may again be covered in sugar, sprinkles, and frosting sometime soon.

I had planned to have more posts this week. I really did. But it's a busy week, and I'm trying to get lots of things accomplished before I head to my parent's for a busy weekend.

And I don't really have any content. I try to take pictures and prepare on the weekend for a week's posts, but this weekend went haywire. We had a very productive day in the yard and garden on Saturday (before snow on Sunday, grrr.) But then Rykert got ill. He woke up Saturday night/ Sunday a.m. violently ill and incredibly dizzy. After an interesting few hours (that gave "in sickness and in health" new meaning), I managed to get him to the ER. It's nothing serious, but certainly uncomfortable. So that took care of Sunday, and my evenings so far this week as I've been on full dog duty as well.

Preview of things to come (hopefully):
  • Peeps S'Mores. The only way I can think of to make a S'mores better is to of course add a layer of crunchy colored sugar.
  • Carnival Birthday Party for my nieces.
  • Easter. I need to think of something creative to make for our family meal on Sunday.
  • Seedlings. I've planted seedlings. Some are hanging on by a thread, but still growing. We may be buying plants this spring if they take a turn for the worse.
  • Potatoes and Peas. Despite the fact that snow was in the forecast for Sunday, I planted them on Saturday. It was my only opportunity, so cross your fingers.
  • Another baby sweater and hat.
  • Rolleiflex - Through the Viewfinder. I'd like to start using my twin lens reflex film camera. I've seen some incredible photos using the TTV technique. I'm going to give it a try and report back.

So what's going on? Have you seen anything cool on the internet lately? Like Easter Cupcake Pops?

I can report that the Chicken Florentine recipe in the latest Cook's Country magazine is delicious. However, for reasons related to our trip to the ER, we will never be preparing it again. Nay, we will never speak of it again.

Oh dear, poor Rykert. I hope he's feeling better now.

I'll be interested to see your experience with the Rollei -- I have that camera (it was my dad's) but have never even tried to use it. I'm curious now.
