Give me s'meeps.

Easter is not a big deal for me. For reasons I won't go into here. But, I do love any excuse to eat candy and have a family meal. And it isn't Easter without Peeps. I know you can buy them for just about every holiday these days, but I'm kinda traditional, so I think Peeps are for Easter only. But really, you can only eat a couple before your teeth ache and your head spins from all of the sugar.

Then I spotted an idea on the interwebs. It's made the rounds over the past few years, but I've always been late to most parties. Take those extra peeps and make S'mores. I can think of no better way to improve Peeps then to melt it with a Hersey bar between graham crackers. You know?

I enlisted some help. And then we continued our two day feeding frenzy. A nice reprieve between Easter lunch, cotton candy, and the planned dessert.

You line a cookie sheet with graham crackers, and place a bit of chocolate on each.
S'meeps Construction 1

Place a peep on each. We like pink chicks.
S'meeps Construction 3

Place them in a preheated oven for a bit until everything starts getting gooey. Remove from oven and place a second graham cracker on each.
S'meeps Construction 4

Offer them to your family. Watch as your family feigns fullness and refuses. Eat alone. Watch as your entire family succumbs to food envy and dives in after you.
