If you want to build a snowman...

On occasion, I get a crazy, obsessive idea into my head. So it was with the Snowman hats. I have made this pattern once before, over a year ago for a charity giveaway. I had forgotten what it takes to finish one of these. I was knee deep in the process, when Andrea reminded me of the pain that is finishing these Snowmen.

Snowman Hats

There are babies popping up all around me. So, I needed one of these hats for a baby gift for a coworker, and then decided to knit a couple more for Christmas gifts. Oy.

Knitting the actual hats took no time, I can finish 1 and get started on a second in one evening of easy knitting. So I had the hats done by Tuesday, but then began the fiddling around of finishing.

The end result is really really cute. And though I may say right now that I'll never make another one of these, I know that I'm lying. Even Rykert thought the were cute.

The Specifics:
Pattern: Snowman from Itty Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson (Ravelry Link)
Yarn: Berroco Comfort with a wee bit of orange Cotton Ease
Needles: US 8

I'm totally impressed! :)

Your eyes look a lot better than mine did. How did you get them so puffy? I tried stuffing the end in as described in the pattern but couldn't get them to puff out.
