Simple Yet Effective

Last week I came down with a wicked head cold. Pressure, congestion, etc. As a result, I was sent home from work on Friday afternoon. I decided I needed a simple, mindless knitting project. But I wanted to take a short break from baby knitting.

I really like sock yarn. I don't, however, really enjoy knitting socks. Probably because I hate wearing socks. But, I still buy sock yarn - thinking that I will have a desire to knit socks again.

Which is how I ended up with a couple of balls of Noro Kureyon Sock. But then I came across the Simple Yet Effective Shawl (Ravelry Link)on Cosmicpluto Knits!. It's really perfect. Uses up a ball of yarn I had sitting around, and is simple comforting knitting and purling. I'm not sure what I'll do with the end product. It's not really something that I would wear or use, but we'll see. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying knitting it.

I love that pattern. I did one in Manos. After seeing it done in sock yarn I may do another. Hope you are feeling better soon!
