I thought I'd emerge from my exhaustion and stress, and show you how I've been de-stressing in the evenings...

I've been seeing peach fabric in my sleep. It's taken multiple Joann Fabric locations to track down enough peach broadcloth to make these. So, attempt number 1 was a limited success - a bit long-waisted and boxy (it can be seen on Flickr). But adjustments to my template and a couple of crudely made darts have somewhat fixed the issues.

This one will be, with any luck, for my older sister. We did an early fitting yesterday and it appears that it should work. If not, there are rooms in the seams to go either way.

Peach Uniform #2

You should note that it is still largely being held together with pins. There's still finishing to do. Topstitching. Zippers. Buttons. Patches. Belt loops. Oh, and ironing. But you get the idea. It will look better on an actual body - I think.

I'm still not completely satisfied with the "patches" (though I just love iron-on transfers). They will be sewn on...

Peach Uniform #3

2 more to go. Oh, and you can't see, but I'm also making red satin "sliding shorts". They are cute.

And for those of you who have no idea what it is I'm making, I'll give you this clip...

It looks great!! keep up the good work. Bridget said that you told her you're charging $200/hr for your work on them. She said next time she won't get a lawyer to do her sewing.

They look really good! I can see you have been busy. Emily sent me a pic of the hats. I guess I am the only lazy one letting you guys do all the work. I am ok with it though if you guys are :)
