Last week was probably one of the most challenging and exhausting weeks I've ever had at work. And after a 12 hour day yesterday, this week appears to be heading in the same direction. Of course, to make things even crazier, I've recommitted to early morning workouts which is adding to the exhaustion. But there's a big deadline on Friday, and unfortunately meeting said deadline is not entirely in my control which actually makes it more stressful. And then next week I'm starting a new work schedule which will have me working part-time from home for the next couple of months. I'm not sure how I'll adjust to that change.

In the meantime, I have been working on costumes. Peach costumes, to be specific. I whipped out a prototype last week which fits me, but which I'm not completely happy with. I learned some things, and think that I can make it better. But I've also semi-committed to making Peach suits for my sisters, and I'm doing it without a real pattern. As I was trying on the prototype in progress last week, Rykert shouted, "Make it work," from the other room. And I didn't even think he was watching Project Runway.

Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon. But for now, I'm just trying to make it through this week.

I also have some baby knitting to do. My cousin is having a baby. I thought he was making his appearance at the end of October, but it's actually in the next couple of weeks. Eek. Any baby knitting ideas out there? Cute hats or sweaters?

The Mason-Dixon baby kimono is very cute, and very fast. Let me know if you need the book, I have a copy.
