C'est fini.

This sweater nearly knit itself. Seriously.
Feb Lady Sweater 03

I started this on August 7. I was thinking in the back of my head that I would knit this as an unofficial Knitting Olympics project. For those of you not familiar, it's a knit-along on the interwebs where knitters choose a project to knit during the span of the Olympics. I didn't announce my participation, nor did I officially join. I have a track record of joining such challenges only to fizzle out and fail dramatically. But I gave myself an extra day just in case.

So knit I did. Loved the pattern. Loved the yarn.
Pattern: February Lady Sweater (Ravelry download)
Yarn: Dream in Color Classy x 3 skeins purchased at Knitted Together
Color: Happy Forest

Here it is modeled, and shot via a self-timer making it a little funky.

And the back.

My concerns about the size were probably warranted. I do wish it were a bit roomier. But it is, nonetheless, quite wearable. Frankly, I'll likely wear it open more times than not. And I have plenty of room to lengthen as I was lazy in my blocking.

I'd like to knit this again, and I would definitely opt for the next larger size. I'll definitely be using the yarn again as it is great to knit with and comes out of the wash even better. Also for those of you considering this, think about adding an extra repeat to each of the front sides by casting on a few (7 each side) extra stitches. The pattern (at least in the size I knit) is written with the same number of stitches for the front and the back, and well most women need more room in the front.

All in all this was an unbelievably satisfying knit that was completed in record (for me) time. 14 days start to finish (including washing, blocking, end weaving, and button sewing).
