What a week!

Well, the last week has been a little crazy. I've been sick. (cough, cough, sniffle, sniffle). It started as a sore throat the weekend before last, progressed to a stuffy, runny nose, then a cough, and then sinus pain and pressure like I've never experienced by this past weekend. It is a sinus infection, and I'm finally on the mend.

So, I've been doing a little baking (wanted to finish that over the weekend), even less knitting (my holiday knitting schedule has fallen now that I've added 2 new projects and have barely been knitting).

On Saturday, it snowed.

Nola loves the snow.

Despite the snow and the increasing pressure in my head, I mailed a long neglected package to Georgia. I was shocked at the short line at the post office, but fear that I may have gotten the zip code wrong (let me know if it doesn't arrive Abby).

We tormented the dog in hopes of getting a picture that could be used on a spoofy Christmas card announcing to the world how we've become those people who dress their dog up and send out Christmas pictures of them (not that there is anything wrong with that, just that it really isn't - or wasn't - "us").
The Christmas Card Shot
The Christmas cards will likely be a victim of the holiday time crunch and not happen. Though the pictures were kind of cute.

And we had visitors while my parents and sister did some hurried shopping.

Here they are tormenting the dog. But do not be fooled; that dog loves the attention. Once they left she ran from door to door looking for them.

We missed a party on Saturday thanks to the intense pain in my head that really made me unbearable to be around. On Sunday, I braved the mall with the hope of finishing my Christmas shopping without success. I have just a couple more things to find and then I'm done. I don't really get stressed about holiday shopping, but that's not to say I don't absolutely hate the mall.

Next time, holiday baking including failures in toffee (I'm 0 and 1 this year so far, but will retry tonight), experiments in pralines, and packages for neighbors.

I'm glad you're feeling better. Your photos of Nola always make me miss my beautiful golden. She looks like an angel.

This is a bad time to be sick. Hope you're well soon. I like the photo of Nola by the tree. That would make a nice Christmas card.
