Korknisse

Last night, I hurriedly finished these little guys so I would have something to post today...

I've had these in my knitting queue for at least a year. I'm not a wine drinker, so I had to get the corks from my dad. Luckily, he saves everything and had a Ziploc Big Bag half full of corks to choose from.

Pattern: The original pattern (in Norwegian) can be found here. The English Translation is here
Yarn: Scraps of Cotton Ease and other worsted weight yarn.
Needles: US 5
Time to make: I made 3 during one episode of Dancing with the Stars. That's pretty quick.

I'm going to attach a ribbon to the top via a sequin pin in the cork to turn them into ornaments. Or I may save these and attach them to gifts. More to come...

Hi there. Where did you buy the bells for the hat? are they a trio or 3 separate bells? Also, did you use permanent marker to draw eyes and nose or something else? thanks so much.

The bells were purchased on a bag at Hobby Lobby. This was the smallest size they offered and I got a good sized bag for just a couple of bucks. They are individual bells, and I sewed three on to each hat. The eyes and noses were done using a Sharpie.
