February Sweater.

Do you remember last February when I finished this sweater from the Knitter's Almanac by Elizabeth Zimmerman?

EZ February Baby Sweater

Well, the recipient, the baby of my college roommate, was born a week or so ago, so it was time to send it off...

All packed up.

I also finished this little Petal Bib from One Skein in Cotton Ease in Pistachio to go with it. This was a fiddly pattern with lots and lots of ends to weave in, but it is still pretty quick to knit and the end product is cute.

Have you all been using Ravelry? I've started, and I think it is a really cool site where I could "waste" lots of time. Awesome work by the creators.

And one more thing... Have you seen these cupcakes? So. Cute. I hate Marzipan, but would love to make these if I had an ounce of that kind of talent.

What a darling little sweater and bib - lucky friend...and lucky baby! Those cupcakes are freaking amazing - wow, I think I better just stick with buying at the bakery!

SO adorable! I love that sweater.

How did you know to add the Butt Paste to the gift? Best stuff ever. My youngest is 7 but I'll never forget how handy it was having it around when he was in diapers!

The sweater and bib are very sweet, that's a lucky baby!

How do you get to use Ravelry, exactly? I've been hearing about it for months but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually use it! Do you have to get an invite like GMail?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Hey Debbie - Ravelry is still in Beta so they are letting in users slowly. I signed up on the side of the homepage, and then weeks later I received an invite. I think they fear the system crashing so they are cautiously letting us in.

The sweater and bib are adorable! I tried the bib once, but I guess I wasn't reading the pattern correctly or something. Got stumped by it and had to give up. Wow! Those cupcakes are amazing.

OMG! Those cupcakes are so adorable!

I tried to knit the petal bib once but lost patience. You are right, it is fiddly. It is really cute though so I may give it another try someday.
