I'm not even supposed to be here today.

I was supposed to fly to Massachusetts for work yesterday through late tomorrow. But plans changed at the last minute due to a co-worker's family emergency. The trip will be rescheduled for after the new year, which will be better timing, I think.

This leaves me with some time at home this week, and a chance, albeit still slim, of getting all of my holiday gift projects completed this week. Let's all cross our fingers. Here's the low-down on my knitting gifts this year...
    Pirate Hat for Dad

    Hat for Grace

    Hat for Anna

Felted Bag for Mom - knit, felted, handles, lining

Felted Bag for Granny - knit, felted, handles, lining

Felted Bag for Grandma - knit, felted, handles, lining

Felted Clogs for Grandpa - knit, felted, soles

Felted Clogs for Cousin - knit (one down), felt, soles

Perhaps I am jaded, but I think that I can complete a good portion of this yet this week. And if possible, even sneak in a couple of kid's hats.

Our marathon shopping day on Saturday was a success. We're down to one more gift to purchase, and we have a plan to get that completed this weekend. Our day took us to 2 malls, Target, the video store, and the grocery store. (The last 2 being for us.) We shopped and then dropped. Rykert is not a big fan of shopping, but he was a good sport.

Sunday, Rykert waited all day for a certain football game. It was worth the wait. The rest of the day was spent baking and making crawfish ravioli. The thing about rolling out pasta is that it is a lot of work. Making the filling and then actually filling the individual pasta is a significant amoutn of extra work. My back was sore by the end of our cooking and baking marathon. But Rykert reports that the finished product was well worth the mountain of dishes he helped with.
