Ending the Year.

Rykert and I spent last week in Louisiana with his family. We had a nice trip and a great holiday. I've been at my parent's since we returned, and it is going to be really hard to go back to work this week.

There has been knitting - thanks to 26 hours in the car in the past week. I finished 2 hats in my travels.

Le Slouch
Le Slouch
Pattern: Le Slouch
Yarn: Di.Ve Teseo (distributed by Cascade) purchased at Knitted Together

Faux Isle
Faux Isle
Pattern: Fake Isle
Yarn: Noro Kureyon Color 95 and Lamb's Pride Worsted (purchased at The Quarter Stitch in the French Quarter, New Orleans)

We made it to 2 knitting shops in New Orleans: Garden District Needlework (a huge shop) and The Quarter Stitch. There were also knitting gifts: a set of Knitpicks Options Needles from my aunt (Thank you Liz!), a knitting bag from my parents, a gift certificate from my grandma, and this from Rykert...

Don't I look like a dork? Honestly, this is one of Rykert's best gifts. It's perfect for reading or knitting in the car without bothering the driver. We were really impressed at how well this worked. I highly recommend it to anyone needing to knit in the dark. Forget those novelty needles with light up tips!

Happy New Year! All the best to you and your family. See you in 2007.

I love both hats... but the combo of DiVe Teseo and the pattern are perfect.

My hubby has a few of those headlamps that he uses for camping, etc. I should snag one!

Happy New Year :D
