I'm back...

Well, the past few weeks have been a little crazy.

This was last weekend:
Rykert's Grad
Rykert finished graduate school. Yeah. He's been in school for a long time, off and on, and I think that there were those who thought he might be a career student. But he's glad to be done with studying and dealing with teachers, and is ready to find a job. I think we both look a little surprised by the flash in that picture, but it's the best I have. Oh - and if you look really close you can see hand knits in action. I'm wearing Calla. The weather did not cooperate (it was cold and rainy the entire weekend) so I had to layer. And on that note - the weather last weekend was so miserable. Rykert's family thought that it was still winter. But of course, the craziness of Iowa weather is that today, one week later, the sun is shining and it's so nice out.

Speaking of jobs, I started my new job this week, and it is going really well. Nice people, interesting work - what more could I ask for right now. The only problem is that the craziness of switching jobs and celebrating Rykert's big day has left very little time for any knitting. I'm still plugging away on the body of Green Gable. I haven't tried it on up to this point, so I'm just going to keep going. I have stitch and row gauge, a strange occurrence for me, so hopefully things will work out. If I get busy, maybe I'll have some pictures of knitting soon...
