The first full day of spring...

and this is what I woke up to:
happy spring 2
happy spring
Is this some kind of sick joke? Seriously. I guess we were probably due after the mild winter we had, relatively speaking of course. And I can't complain too much, because there has been serious melting going on today, so it will be gone soon. It's just a slap in the face after the spring-like temperatures we've occasionally seen in the past months - the daffodils were even popping up at my parent's this past weekend. So, hopefully this was winter's last hurrah. At least it's not cold enough to freeze the pond. Rykert, who was hoping to start waterskiing in the next few weeks, was quite displeased at the sight.

It looks kind of pretty in your pictures. I drove home in it last night at midnight, though. With the wind it was awful! Closest thing to a blizzard I've seen in a long time. (Fortunately it was wasn't a blizzard, that would just be cruel.)

I was completely surprised when I woke up this morning, even though upon fully-wakened recollection, I realized that I had been hit by some snowflakes last night. It still feels like spring, though, for some reason.

yea, I hear ya. What a surprise. I mean, I knew it was coming but to wake up and see everything white again still comes as a surprise. Although I have to admit, knowing that it isn't going to stick around I have really enjoyed it today.

Also... spring snow greens up grass super quick. Think of it that way. :)

As soon as the sun comes out it will be all gone. Maybe it is already. Spring is just around the corner.

It snowed here a wee bit too, not like there, but it still did. I think Mother Nature was trying to prove something. I'm not sure what, but I feel like I've been schooled.

Doesn't it suck? Here in Chicago we didn't get snow, but it's still f-ing cold!
