Introducing...

Knitted Babe 1This is my first attempt at a Knitted Babe. I got a little carried away putting the hair in last night, but I kind of like it. I followed the pattern in the book - well, sort of: I knit to the size in the book at a different gauge, I knit the body in the round and used kitchener on the top, and I knit i-cord limbs. Knitting in the round was much easier for finishing - except, it was difficult to attach the facial features, which is part of the reason she has such a weird expressio. She still needs a sister and a wardrobe. She's feeling a little exposed sitting around in just her undies. There are lots of cute examples over at the Knitalong.

I've also been baking today. I made these Barefoot Contessa brownies, and everything smells like chocolate. They are serious brownies. I mean sinfully decadent. Next time, I'll probably half the recipe and use a 9x13 pan.
