Catching Up.

So, finally a post that has something that is relevant to this blog. I have been knitting, but progress has been slow. Finally, I have something to show for it.

rykert'sscarfFirst, we have yet another Christmas 2004 gift. This was started about a year ago for Rykert for Christmas. It used 2 skeins of Cascade 220, and is done in 2x2 ribbing. The ribbing got pretty boring, and the poor little scarf was abandoned for months with just a few inches left to knit. R obliged to a photo shoot wearing a wool scarf despite the fact that it is 90 degrees out today. He has very little tolerance for cold weather, being that he grew up in South Louisiana. Hopefully, this will help keep the complaining to a minimum come winter. But, this officially marks the end of the Christmas 2004 knitting season. I can now concentrate on Christmas 2005...

whitebabybooties Next, we have a buncha baby booties in an unbelievably small size. These are for The Preemie Project. They are all in the 1-3 pound size (approximately 2 inches in length) and will be matched up with hats knit in various colors by other volunteers. I used this pattern which is both quick and easy to memorize.

bluebootiesandhatFinally, I also finished another hat and bootie set for the next donation to The Preemie Project. For these, I used this hat pattern and the same bootie pattern. These were knit using Lion Brand Cotton Ease in candy blue. I'm also going to be working on some jester hats in Cotton Ease like the one recently knit by Tracy.
