Knitting ADD

I have knitting/ crafty attention deficit disorder. Seriously. I really want to finish up some lingering projects that have very little knitting left to do. I want to, I do. But instead, I keep starting new projects.

First up...
multidirectional scarf

Multidirectional Diagonal Scarf using one of the skeins of wool I dyed last week. I really like the way this is turning out. The colors are very autumnal and deep. I started dyeing this using the self striping method, but then realized that the pink and red was very close to the same color. Additionally, I had placed the yarn in very small jars during the dyeing process and so it didn't take the color evenly. I decided to just throw caution to the wind and redye the entire skein in a mix of grape, ice blue raspberry, and berry blue. I like the way it turned out in the end. I probably couldn't dye another like this again if I tried. This may be a Christmas gift for someone, or I may just keep it for myself.

pink booties
Pink T-strap Baby Booties. The pattern is from a Leisure Arts leaflet creatively titled "Baby Booties." These are for the Preemie Project. The first donation date is fast approaching and I have a box all ready for delivery. Laura has done a great job organizing, and the goal is to provide a hat, booties, and a blanket to each baby that goes through the NICU at the University of Iowa Hospital (and there is also a Michigan branch). My knitting for the project has been sporadic and mostly limited to hats. I've decided that for the next donation deadline I'm going to focus on knitting sets. This isn't required, but I think it will keep me more focused. It will also allow me to set a goal for myself of x number of sets for each donation period.

And then there is this....
stripey KA skein 2
This is the other stripey skein of wool I dyed last week. The colors are really really bright. Brighter than they appear on the screen. I'm thinking that it is a little too "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" for my tastes. There's about 450 yards in the skein, and I'm not sure what I want to do with it. But right now, I really really want to overdye it in another color to muddy the colors up a little bit. I'm trying to resist the urge until I know what I want to do with it. I doubt I will be able to resist.
