Commerce.

So, I had this whole post written about the legal controversy that is currently raging over trademarking the term "Stitch and Bitch." I of course have feeling about this, both as a knitter and crafter and as a lawyer. But I'm going to leave the specifics for another day. If you are interested there has been plenty of discussion on every knitting forum around and on various blogs. The bottom line is that I do not like the fact that the only victims, thus far, have been local, not-for-profit knitting groups. If you're interested, you'll find plenty of info, but beware what you read as many of those with strong opinions are neither lawyers nor trademark experts. Girl from Auntie, however, has had several excellent posts on the topic, and she works in IP and knows what she is talking about.

But here's what I did do today....

I set up my very own little shop at Etsy!!!!

So far, I only have a few knitting needle cases listed, and we will see how it goes before I list anymore. Here's what I listed today:

I'm still unsure about the pricing. So, I'm calling this an introductory price. At least for now. We'll see how it goes.

Still plugging away on the Yesterknits pattern, but am cautiously optimistic about the outcome.
