an A-HA moment.

Do you ever have one of those A-HA moments when knitting? You know, like the first time you realized you could use a 3 needle bind off to join those shoulder seams, or the first time you turned a heel on a sock. The other night at the knitting group, Lin, the group's organizer, was knitting socks on 2 circulars. This was an elusive technique to me. Something that more experienced knitters talked about, and I was just in the dark. Well, she inspired me. I quickly went home and gave it a try.
and....AHA!!!! No more silly little double points for me. I now want to start collecting 2 circulars of every size of needle. Why didn't I think of this sooner, seriously. No more sleeves with little loose stitches at the joins.

flyer and 2 circs

Here's a baby hat on 2 circs that I started. And it is so much faster than double points, at least for me. That's the flyer that I have been putting up to advertise The Preemie Project for Laura. It's hard to see in the picture, but the background is a faded picture of the little pink booties from below.
