I have been knitting. I have. I swear.

I finished this sweater last weekend.

I used this pattern and less than one ball of Bernat Softee Baby. This makes the whole project cost a whopping $3. I really like the pattern, and I will definitely be knitting it for the next baby in my life. When that day comes I will likely use Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino or Rowan Cash Soft DK.
I didn't have anyone in mind to give it to, but knew that I would find it the perfect home. It was barely off my needles when it found its home. It is the perfect fit for the Bitty Babies belonging to these little girls.

Those are my nieces, all dressed up as flowergirls at my wedding. Notice that there are 2 of them. This of course means that I will be knitting another little sweater. I started knitting when these 4 year olds were babies, and then quickly realized that the problem with twins is that you have to knit everything twice. Easier said than done.

I'm also knitting away on Branching Out. I'm using the Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool in charcoal. It's my first lace attempt, but is going very well. It may be nice enough to be my first finished Christmas gift.

What do you knit for people who live in the deep south anyway?
