Cajun Fest.

Let's just say that we were intrigued. The whole thing just seemed a little bizarre. Do you know what I mean? I mean, the Amana Colonies were founded by a German religious group of some sort. But anyway, with low expectations, we headed for the Taste of Louisiana Cajunfest in Amana, Iowa. We were not disappointed, and were actually quite impressed with the quality of the Cajun fare prepared by native Louisianans, and the great zydeco music. We went expecting a good laugh, and left with full stomachs. We were delightfully proven wrong about Cajun Fest in Iowa. Above, we are enjoying some beignets. And here's Rykert eating the excellent crawfish.
