Fast Food.

I rarely eat fast food, especially McDonalds. The exception being long road trips where stopping for a real meal would slow us down too much, and make our 14 hours day to New Orleans that much longer. There was a time, however, where I consumer more than my fair share of the food (Ironically, it was probably the skinniest time of my life - though I don't think there was any correlation).

So, what's this all about? We rented Super Size Me the other night. We had been meaning to see this for quite a while, but just hadn't gotten to it until now. Um... yeah... I'm never eating that crap again. You should see it. Seriously. And then read Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. You may never feed your children a Happy Meal, or ground beef again. So, do you care what you are eating? Then read this book, and see this documentary. And mcbefore you make another mctrip to McDonalds, check out the mcnutritional information here. Mcohmigod, what's in that crap? For those of you interested, Super Size Me has been nominated for a best documentary Oscar, and Morgan Spurlock has a blog.

In other news, I'm nearly done with the body of the first raglan sweater. I've been knitting away while reading The Da Vinci Code. Yes, I think I am the last person to read this, but I'm enjoying it. Hopefully, I can get through it without someone spilling the beans about the end. (Unfortunately, I haven't been so lucky about the ending of Million Dollar Baby, which I still haven't seen. Peter Jennings, the local news anchor, and my sister have all told me the ending. Doesn't that suck.)
